End Challenge 4...

Almost through to 90 days, but life got in the say and a couple of forgotten days has turned into a couple of weeks. This has been the best challenge yet and I can definately see improvements.

Day 80

Tablet magiced itself back to how it was working. Still not sure what happened.

Day 78

Still having tablet issues. Drawing is a lot harder when the pen doesn't register hard and soft presses. I don't know what I did to muck up the settings.

Day 77

Something happened to my tablet today XD The pen was a lot darker and I don't think I changed any settings. The eraser on the pen didn't work properly either. If it isn't back to normal tomorrow I might have to play around with it and see what happened.

Day 72

Loomis image dump, and last one is a bit from photos.

Day 71

New face sketch from photo

And also some copies from Loomis. I read some more advice about copying been very good for developing proportions (and so my copying a couple of days ago has been validated as a valid exercise too!) so I'm going to try getting back to some more Loomis copies and work on anatomy more. Also starting to work digitally is speeding up the posting process as the work is already in the computer.

Day 69

More playing with the tablet and struggling with open mouths. I'm not unhappy with those eyes though.

However when you compare them to a trace (below) I can see for the first time that issues with the eyes from this photo are in placement and layout. Second image is further development of the right eye and nose with trace image removed.

Day 68

First attempts at using my tablet in a very long time. The transition to looking down at paper and pen and looking up while drawing blind is tricky.

Day 60

Day 60 checkpoint reached! Two sketches today but I'm not sure if these are going a little too cartoon anime style for me.

Day 59

Consciously worked at not overdoing my lines and keeping the eyes minimal. Felt happy with this but not overwhelmed until this happened...
Me: Look what I drew.
Husband: It looks a bit like Mitzi
Me in shock: It *is* Mitzi!! I'm so happy you guessed who it was! I must be getting better!!

Day 58

Completely overdoing my lines... have to bring it back a little and especially not colour eyes. Did a little better on the last eye on the right hand figure.

Day 54

I refrained from adding beards and have been focusing on heads. It was tough.

Day 52

Backdating a few posts to when they were drawn. Blogger image upload is a bit faulty at the moment so it is a pain to do every day.
